Fall 2024 Graduate of the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University

"I am passionate about being an active global citizen and enriching myself in the international political realm. Throughout my college experience, I have collaborated with members of the FIU community on service projects, designated time and commitment to philanthropy, and engaged in various US Federal Government internships that emphasized my passion for public service and global learning. It is my ultimate goal to make a positive impact in today's global society by committing to legal studies and collaborating with the various professionals in the international relations and political science communities. It is an honor to present my current achievements and learning experiences, and I hope that I may inspire students like me." — Jewel Rameres

Global Learning Courses

Enrolling in the global learning courses was not just to check off a requirement for me. I enjoyed gaining a global perspective and wanted to enrich my studies with all that FIU had to offer.

FIU in DC

While at the nation's capital, I have attended various events under FIU in DC such as think tanks and networking opportunities, while also successfully completing internships under the US Department of Defense in Summer 2024, the US Department of State in Fall 2024, and the US Social Security Administration. I have participated in these enriching opportunities that have not only shaped me as a student, but as a future leader.

Global Learning Capstone

One of the most exciting experiences during my time at FIU was the global learning capstone. I chose to participate in a virtual study abroad, where I was able to connect and learn from students at the University of Antwerp, located in Belgium.
