Reflection...
My college experience at Florida International University has been transformative, both academically and personally. FIU’s diverse community, rigorous academic programs, and myriad leadership opportunities have not only broadened my worldview but also sharpened my professional skills.
Academically, I’ve had the privilege of studying International Relations. The interdisciplinary nature of my education has equipped me with a solid understanding of global affairs, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Through my GL coursework, I’ve developed a strong ability to synthesize complex information, assess international conflicts, and apply theory to real-world scenarios.
FIU also offered me numerous leadership experiences that helped me grow as an individual. Serving as a peer mentor, I learned the importance of clear communication and the value of guidance. In Alpha Chi Omega, my involvement in philanthropy and holding leadership positions instilled a deep sense of responsibility and the ability to manage philanthropy projects. These roles have enhanced my organizational, teamwork, and public speaking skills, all of which are essential as I prepare for a career in law and government.

In addition to academics and leadership, FIU’s dynamic campus and multicultural environment allowed me to connect with individuals from various backgrounds. These interactions taught me cultural competence and the value of diverse perspectives, skills that are increasingly important in today’s globalized world.

Overall, FIU has been an essential part of my personal and professional development. It has provided me with the academic foundation, leadership experiences, and interpersonal skills necessary to pursue my passions in law, national security, and international affairs.
